Easy Pork Chops and Squash

1 (1-pound) acorn squash
4 boneless center cut pork chops
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Slice acorn squash in half, remove seeds and cut each half into 8 slices, approximately 1-inch thick.
Place 8 slices on bottom of a slow cooker. Arrange 2 pork chops over squash. Repeat layers.
In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over pork chops and squash. Cover and cook on LOW setting 5 to 6 hours or until pork and squash are tender.
