Mushroom Liver Paté

Underwood created this luxurious-tasting paté for your next party. Make it ahead and chill well; it tastes better the day after it's made.

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2/3 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cans (4-3/4-ounce) Underwood Liverwurst Spread
2 tablespoons brandy
2 teaspoons chopped chives
1/2 teaspoon Ac'cent flavor enhancer

Melt butter in a skillet over medium low heat. Add mushrooms and onions; sauté 10 minutes, until all moisture has evaporated. Stir in liverwurst spread, brandy, chives and flavor enhancer. Spoon into a serving bowl. Chill. Serve cold with crackers.

Makes 1-1/2 cups spread
