Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

INGREDIENTS
2 cups unsifted flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1-2/3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup Hellmann's or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise 1-1/3 cups waterGrease and flour bottoms of two 9 x 1-1/2-inch round baking pans.
In a medium bowl stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder; set aside.
In a large bowl with mixer at high speed beat sugar, eggs and vanilla, occasionally scraping bowl, 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; beat in mayonnaise.
Add flour mixture in 4 additions alternately with water, beginning and ending with flour. Pour into prepared pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove; cool on wire racks. Frost as desired. Garnish with sliced almonds.
