Corny Beef Soup

A delicious made-from-scratch soup to serve as a main dish for dinner, supper, or lunch.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (10-3/4-ounces) condensed tomato soup
1-1/2 cups water
1 can (16 ounces) corn (undrained)
1 cup uncooked narrow noodles
1 can or bottle (12-ounces) beer
1 can (4-ounces) mushrooms (undrained), optionalBrown beef and onion; pour off drippings.
Add remaining ingredients, except beer and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Add beer and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 10 minutes more, or until noodles are tender. Add a little more water, if desired.
Makes 6 to 8 servings
