Beer Balls

Instead of brandy or rum balls, why not try these tasty beer balls for a holiday-season treat? They are better after a day or so in the refrigerator.

INGREDIENTS

1 box (7-1/4 ounces) vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 55)
1 cup ground walnuts
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup beer
2 tablespoons corn syrup or honey
Confectioners' sugar for coating

Mix wafer crumbs, nuts, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar.

Mix beer and corn syrup, add to wafer mixture, and stir.

Shape into 1-inch balls. Chill at least 1 day. Roll in additional confectioners' sugar.

Makes about 3-1/2 dozen
