Baked Stuffed Apples

INGREDIENTS

6 medium cooking apples (about 2 pounds)
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup beer

Core apples. Remove 1-inch strip of peel around top.

Mix raisins, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Fill apple centers.

Place apples in a baking dish. Pour beer over. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until tender, basting occasionally.

Cool to room temperature, basting while cooling. Serve with its own sauce. If desired, add cream or  Beer Dessert Sauce
