Bread and Cheddar Appetizer

INGREDIENTS 1 small round loaf of bread, (about 8 inches in diameter)
1 tablespoon Dijon style mustard
1/2 jar processed sharp cheddar cheese spread (5-ounce jar)
1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese, grated
1 apple, cored and sliced
Fresh herbs, optional
Small chili peppers, optionalCut loaf of bread in half horizontally. Wrap one half and use for another purpose. Hollow out the other half, leaving a 1/2 inch shell.
Spread mustard over inside of loaf. Spread cheese spread in the bottom of the loaf. Sprinkle the cheese spread with Parmesan cheese.
Place on a baking sheet and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble.
Cut the appetizer into 12 wedges.
Place hot bread on a serving plate. Arrange apple slices around the bread. Garnish with fresh herbs and/or small chili peppers, if you like.
