About Caviar
Print This Recipe
Little jars of "caviar" found in supermarkets are disappointing. If, for a special occasion, you want caviar, make sure you get real sturgeon-egg caviar. It should be eaten simply, by itself, with toast and maybe sweet butter, sour cream, or chopped onion or hard-boiled egg.
SALMON EGGS - roe which is often called caviar - are far less expensive and can be a very good substitute for the real things in recipes calling for caviar.
