Chicken Rice Soup

INGREDIENTS

1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
2 quarts water
1 onion, chopped
3/4 cup celery, chopped
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
Dash of pepper
1 cup rice, cooked

In a large kettle combine chicken, water, onion, celery, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is tender, about 1-1/2 hours.

Remove chicken from broth and pick meat from bone. Return to broth along with rice. Heat thoroughly.

Makes 6 servings
