Broccoli Salad 2

INGREDIENTS

2 bunches of broccoli, cut in bite-size pieces
2 medium red onions, sliced thin
1/4 cup raisins
8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar

Mix broccoli, onions, raisins, and bacon together gently.

Blend mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar thoroughly. Fold dressing into vegetable mixture and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours before serving.

Makes 10 to 12 servings

VARIATIONS

Sprinkle finished salad with 1 cup shredded cheese.

Add 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced, to salad.

Substitute 1/2 cup shredded purple cabbage in place of onions.
